Celebrities open heart and home

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - Television - ROSIE SQUIRES

THIS is the second episode in this heart- rending journey for four homeless people who move in with celebrity companions in a bid to get back into society and find their feet.

Blur’s Alex James, chef Aldo Zilli, British television and radio presenter Anneka Rice, and home makeover duo Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan all get a deeper insight into their guests.

James does it tough with former soldier Danny Newton, and discovers he has a hidden talent, while Zilli goes on an emotional trip back to Southend to visit where his charge Bobby Blunden slept rough and tried to take his own life.

Through the revelations and heartache, the celebrities – who will be guided by expert advice in the shape of Ed Tytherleigh, director of SPEAR, one of Britain’s most innovative homeless charities – learn a lot more about how they can help with the homelessness and desperation faced by those less fortunate than themselves. HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS, ABC2, Wednesday, 9.30pm
