If you struggle with slight comedy or the lacklustre pace that indie films often tell their stories with, you may have to rethink investing time in this dose of melancholic dramedy. Starring two strong comedy talents it tells the tale of two brothers – the lost- in- fatalistic- thought doper Jeff ( Jason Segel) and his unhappily married brother Pat ( Ed Helms) – who end up following the apparent clues the universe is giving them ( Jeff’s idea) while tracking Pat’s seemingly adulterous wife. Comedically it’s light- on but it’s emotionally engaging even if a little too dramatically contrived.
