Annabel’s back for second helping

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - TELEVISION - TAYLOR AUERBACH KITCHEN CABINET,

THE return of Annabel Crabb’s hit series is certainly more cabinet than kitchen, with Joe Hockey serving up a wholly unelectable spread of charred sausages and meats this week.

As a cook, Hockey makes a great politician, stuttering and charming his way through a meal that Crabb ( pictured) politely laps up.

Over stubbies of VB, the pair engage in a fascinating conversation about party politics and the infamous Liberal share house where the episode is shot.

In the next few weeks senior Liberal figure, and once- touted future prime minister, Bronwyn Bishop breaks out the good silver to host Crabb over a mushroom lasagne with a roma tomato, bocconcini and basil leaf salad.

Over lunch we learn what really happened during some of the Liberal Party’s most famous leadership tussles, the influence of Margaret Thatcher, her thoughts on feminism, and the G- Force joy Bishop experienced as Minister for Defence Procurement when she flew a jet fighter.
