Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - TV -

She’s been a farmer, air traffic controller, pilot, aerial l stock musterer, punk and shearer’s cook. We’re loving Liberal MP Sussan Ley already. She joins host Annabel Crabb ( pictured) in Broken Hill ( naturally, Ley flies herself) to cook up a classic country roast. The rest emerges as dinner – prepared by Ley in a shearers’ s’ kitchen on a station north of Broken Hill – is cooked and eaten. . Her tales, including one of city slicker becoming gun- toting country ountry girl, make the meal a sideshow. This is about as far from a “career politician” as you can get. Not even the arrival val of selfdescribed “most disgraced senator” Bill Heffernan for dinner can steal the limelight.
