LEATHERWOOD trees are outstanding Tasmanian native plants that grow easily, even in suburban gardens. Among the most outstanding is the pink- flowered form ( Eucryphia “Pink Cloud”). All they need is a combination of well- drained soil and plenty of water during summer. Avoid using any chemical fertilisers. A mulch of good compost is enough, preferably applied during spring.
