MOST lil­i­ums are now in full, fragrant dis­play in gar­dens all over Tas­ma­nia. They grow to per­fec­tion in our rel­a­tively cool cli­mate. Once flow­ers fade and stems start to wither, the plants can be cut to the ground. It is not nec­es­sary to lift bulbs and most lil­ium clumps con­tinue to bloom hap­pily ev­ery sum­mer with­out be­ing dis­turbed.
