Treasury Wines Estate’s 2011 Heemskerk Chardonnay, the fruit sourced from the Tolpuddle Vineyard at Richmond, was judged equal fi rst in a recent UK Drinks Business taste- off of international chardonnays over $ 20. In fact, Treasury Wine Estates, which bought the White Hills Vineyard in Tasmania last year, made a clean sweep at the top with their 2011 Devil’s Lair Chardonnay from Margaret River and the 2011 and 2012 Matua Single Vineyard Chardonnays from Marlborough, joining the Heemskerk in the No. 1 position.
