TIME TO MAKE THE CUT

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - HOME -

MOST mop- head hydrangeas are now fi nished and benefi t from being pruned. Just cut out any old, woody branches as low as possible while all younger canes are pruned to just above a fat pair of buds. Paniculata hydrangeas are cut back very hard – by at least two- thirds – to leave just a few stubs sticking up from the ground.
