Per­fect as a warm­ing snack, starter or party pass- around, pasties are easy to make yourself and it’s worth do­ing for their fresh home­made flavour. Us­ing store- bought sheets of puff or short­crust pastry, it’s as sim­ple as cre­at­ing a fill­ing and press­ing the edges of the pastry to­gether to seal it in­side. Brush with egg for a glossy golden crust, and bake!
