TRENTHAM RIVER RETREAT

2013 Pinot Grigio $ 14

Murray Darling

12.5 per cent Pale- straw colour with fairly straightforward herbal, grassy aromas and light musk notes on both the nose and palate in a pleasantly light and balanced commercial style. Chill well for a slip- down refresher.

MUD HOUSE

2013 Pinot Gris $ 19

Marlborough, NZ

13.5 per cent A much more aromatic and fl avoursome style than the previous wine with attractive spiced pear and nutty characters, the palate richer, fuller- bodied and smoothly textured balanced and freshened by good juicy acidity.

STARVE DOG LANE

2013 Pinot Gris $ 20

Adelaide Hills, SA

12.5 per cent Green apple and grassy/ dried herb aromas and fl avours with just a lick of oak adding some fullness and a light creamy texture before a refreshing tangy fi nish. Not overly complex but it slips down nicely.

HOLM OAK

2013 Pinot Gris $ 25

Rowella, Tas

13 per cent Pale with a faint coppery tinge, intensely aromatic – cut pear, spices and nougat – with similar fl avours packed into a beautifully textured and weighted palate, a proportion of wild barrel ferment providing added richness and complexity and a long, crunchy and fl avoursome aftertaste. Lovely drinking.
