WHERE the Wild Daffodils Grow is by Elizabeth Rickards and her deceased grandmother Hannah Amelia Holbrook ( Eaves) whose original book Parson Joe was rewritten and added to her other unpublished manuscripts which came into Elizabeth’s care. It’s a fictional story based on facts including the joining of family groups when they immigrated to Tasmania and settled in the hamlet of Waterloo in southern Tasmania. It involves several families and their experiences with war, violence, sexual abuse, sadness and romance. The book is available at the Tasmanian Book Store in Elizabeth St, local shops in Geeveston and can also be ordered online.
