Best on the Box

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - TV -

SCT, 8.30PM

A sniper on the loose in Dallas and a conspiracy theory bringing in the anniversary of the JFK assassination – this one’s ticking all the boxes. And then, once they’ve waded through the bodies, BAU starts peeling back the layers. A copycat conspiracy theory just seems way too obvious. And the sniper, despite the fact some of his bullets are going astray, isn’t a bad shot. Which is all very nice, but the gunman is still on the loose, and the body count is mounting.

The understated and matter- of- fact narration only highlights ts the drama in the busiest accident and emergency department in Britain. Tonight, Richard has come off a motorbike and smashed both hips and God knows what else, so should be screaming. But he’s largely silent, save ve the occasional drugged- up expletive and terrified tear. As always ys the human stories and relationships that emerge in emergency are the gems here.
