Un­like most crime se­ries, Silent Wit­ness isn’t con­tent with just one body. Af­ter 10 or so piled up in the first episode of sea­son 15, episode two kicks off with two and a half found in a fam­ily home – a mother and daugh­ter dead, the son in a coma. Foren­sic pathol­o­gist Harry ( Tom Ward) has trou­ble keep­ing his in­ves­ti­ga­tion im­par­tial, as he knows the fam­ily and can’t be­lieve the fa­ther would have done it. Could the boy in the coma be hid­ing the an­swer?

Ran­dom fact: Drew Bar­ry­more ( pic­tured) is the ex­ec­u­tive pro­ducer ro­ducer of this at­tempt at an edgy an­swer to MasterChef. Per­haps that t ex­plains the celebrity- ish guests who show up to heckle the con­tes­tants: ants: Bi­jou Phillips ( Rais­ing Hope) in this first episode, then the likes es of Eli­jah Wood and Ja­son Lee. It’s all meant to have the air of an n un­der­ground food fight club – se­cret bat­tles in LA restaurants nts af­ter they’ve closed their doors for the night.
