But vi­gnerons in France are blam­ing cli­mate change for the hail storms that have dev­as­tated this year’s vin­tage in parts of Bordeaux, Langue­doc and, worst of all, for the third year in a row, in Vol­nay and other parts of Bur­gundy. So, with up to 80 per cent loss in some ar­eas, French wine prices are set to re­main at record highs for quite a while yet.
