MANY people are concerned about yellowing citrus plants at this time of year and generally this is due to a defi ciency in nitrogen. This is not because of a lack of the nutrient in the soil but due to the inability of the plant to access it due to the cold. If your tree is in a frost- free area you can foliar feed by watering over the leaves with fi sh emulsion. I have found in frosty areas though this will promote new tender growth which can easily burn off . The best feed in winter is a handful of sulphate of potash and regular applications of seaweed juice.
