Premiere Movies ( Foxtel), 6.45pm

CBGB is the movie equivalent of a hot model wearing a Motorhead T- shirt – looks good but completely misses the point. Alan Rickman is decades too old to play bar owner Hilly Kristal and the film comes off like one long procession of famous band lookalikes turning up to mime along to hit records. Punk was raw and energetic with an incredible DIY ethos. This doesn’t capture it.

Comedy Channel ( Foxtel), 8.30pm

You get the impression Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson ( far right with Glazer) start writing each episode with absolutely no idea where it’s going to end up. That may be why in this episode, Abbi gets her privates waxed, misses her chance to lead a class at the gym because of a woman pretending to be going through chemo, she snorts cocaine at a charity event then she and Ilana hook up with two DJs who keep manufacturing the preconditions for group sex. It’s all over the shop.
