Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - TV -

TDT, 9.30pm

Add Under the Dome to the list of shows, including Homeland and Lost, that should never have lasted longer than one season. The first series of this US drama, based on a Stephen King novel, was intriguing but season two, which started with the dome going magnetic, is off the rails. Tonight Barbie ( Mike Vogel) is interrogated about his links to the Dome. The loopy stuff comes when Big Jim’s ( Dean Norris) deceased wife and a younger version of Barbie make an appearance.

10.20pm, ELEVEN

Emily Owens M. D. was launched on TDT with little fanfare last ast year and has now been relegated to Eleven. This US medical drama is s boosted by a strong performance from Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer ( pictured) in the title role of first- year surgical intern at Denver ver Memorial Hospital and is clearly aimed at a younger audience ce than ER or Grey’s Anatomy. In tonight’s second- last episode, Emily ily takes charge when the hospital is inundated with patients during a winter storm.
