SCI­ENCE, 8PM, ABC Ev­ery­thing you thought you knew about healthy eat­ing is wrong. The more fat you eat, the more fat you lose*. (* Or so they say.) The food pyra­mid’s mes­sage about eat­ing lots of grains? For­get it. Carbs are the en­emy, mak­ing you hun­grier and caus­ing a spike in in­sulin lev­els. Within two years other di­eti­cians will no doubt come up with another dis­rup­tive the­ory sug­gest­ing this new or­tho­doxy is also wrong but un­til then, who isn’t in favour of chow­ing down on lots more eggs, ba­con, cheese and duck fat? And yes, Pete Evans is on the show to dis­cuss pa­leo.
