ANOTHER Flash and Arrow spinoff is in the works, drafting in Flash villains Heat Wave ( Dominic Purcell) and Captain Cold ( Wentworth Miller), Arrow’s The Atom ( Brandon Routh) and half of Flash’s Firestorm, ( Victor Garber). But what of the other half, Robbie Amell ( left)? Series creator Greg Berlanti says there is a reason for the omission, but “can’t say why”.

And Amell admits he doesn’t know much about the spinoff .

But speaking before jumping on a plane to fi lm in Vancouver, the Canadian does know something important awaits him in the upcoming season fi nale of The Flash.

“The two episodes I’m going back for are the second- last and the fi nale of the fi rst season. So there are defi nitely going to be some big things happening over there,” the 26- year- old says.

Perhaps these episodes hold the secret to what Berlanti has in store for Amell – the writer- producer certainly has a soft spot for the actor, bringing Amell into The Flash after their sci- fi series The Tomorrow People was cancelled. He also cast Amell’s cousin Stephen ( also an Amell) as Arrow.

Amell says it’s just “dumb luck” he and Stephen ended up on the same career path.

“We were very close when we were young, but there was a seven- year age gap so when he was 15 and I was eight, we didn’t really have much in common,” he says.

“Then we both got into acting on our own and met back up in LA and quickly became very close again.”
