Ex­pe­ri­ence first-hand the liv­ing con­di­tions of Dou­glas Maw­son and his team of ex­plor­ers which built and oc­cu­pied Maw­son’s Hut at Cape Deni­son, Antarc­tica, for two years in 1912. The Replica Mu­seum al­lows vis­i­tors to take a step back in time and learn about th­ese his­toric huts-- the birth­place of Aus­tralia’s Antarc­tic his­tory. Ev­ery visit con­trib­utes to the con­ser­va­tion of Aus­tralia’s Antarc­tic her­itage and the Replica Mu­seum is right on the Ho­bart water­front. All vis­i­tors be­tween now and Novem­ber 30 are el­i­gi­ble to go in an an­nual draw to win TWO seats on a flight over Antarc­tica and Maw­son’s Hut in the com­fort of a QAN­TAS 747. Vis­i­tors to the Replica Mu­seum will also be en­tered into a monthly draw for a book and DVDS val­ued at $125.
