HBO has given a se­ries or­der to The Deuce, the 1970s porn drama cre­ated by The Wire’s David Si­mon and star­ring James Franco ( above). The ca­ble net­work also gave a se­ries or­der to the Judd Apa­tow- pro­duced com­edy Crash­ing, about a co­me­dian ( Pete Holmes) who is forced to crash on friends couches af­ter his wife leaves him.

FRIENDS star David Schwimmer ( below) and Jim Sturgess ( Cloud At­las) will star as mates open­ing a restau­rant in a new drama called Feed The Beast. It’s from AMC ( Break­ing Bad, The Walk­ing Dead).

THE US adap­ta­tion of Up­per Middle Bo­gan and the re­vival of Nancy Drew have both been given pi­lot or­ders by CBS.

CARTER BAYS and Craig Thomas, the cre­ators of How I Met Your Mother, have teamed up with Hi­lary Win­ston ( Bad Teacher) for a new long- dis­tance dat­ing com­edy pi­lot called My Time/ Your Time.

NBC has or­dered a pi­lot of Time, a time- travel ac­tion crime drama from Shawn Ryan ( cre­ator of The Shield) and Eric Kripke ( cre­ator of Su­per­nat­u­ral).
