STAYING MUM ON NEW RECRUIT

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - NEWS - By Andrew Fenton

GOGGLEBOX Australia’s newest recruit is larger than life Anastasia’s 75-year-old mum Angela, who will be filling in for Faye while she’s on holidays for the next two weeks.

Angela admits she’s sometimes embarrassed by her daughter’s saucy comments about men during the show.

“Someone came to me and said, ‘Why does your daughter speak like that on TV?’. It was when she spoke about wanting the man with the big d---! I got embarrassed and told her off. But Anastasia doesn’t care about what anyone thinks, this is what I love about her,”

Anastasia originally auditioned for the show with Angela, but the producers felt she’d be better off paired with a friend, which is how Faye came to the show.

Angela says she’s always supported her daughter’s ambition to be on TV, but it wasn’t until Gogglebox that they found the right outlet for her exuberant personality.

“Anastasia is very loud. Sometimes she gives me a headache when she talks too much. This is why Gogglebox suits her as she is always talking!”
