LIFESTYLE THE HAIRY BIKERS’ NORTHERN EXPOSURE 7.30PM, 7TWO

Personable Poms Dave and Si are back on their bikes for a culinary adventure that will take them through the Baltic states to Russia, Finland and Sweden. Warning: There will be nudity. The journey starts in Poland, where medieval towns and forests go perfectly with vodka, Polish pasties and the best sausage the blokes have ever eaten.

COMEDY JUST FOR LAUGHS 7.30PM, THE COMEDY CHANNEL

Comedy’s regular dose of Saturday night standup, filmed in Montreal, gets a shot of class as the all-singing, all-fabulous Alan Cumming takes the host’s mic and tinkles the ivories. He also introduces rising Aussie comedy star Joel Creasey, who delivers a snappy set encompassing Meryl Streep, bad dates and Australian reality shows.

DRAMA HOME FIRES 8.30PM, BBC FIRST

Home Fires is basically Call the Midwife but with World War II bombs standing in for 1950s baby bombshells – cosy, sometimes funny, but nothing to get too worked up about or attached to. Which is probably for the best, given the show’s already been cancelled. Stars Chris Coghill and Clare Calbraith (right).
