This week’s mystery is a nice slice of history

A nice little slice of history

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - CONTENTS -

Any time that our What Is It item is related to cooking or farming, there is a risk of blowing up the inbox. And yet, here we go again!

This item has French heritage and was found at the Ring Road Antique Centre in New Norfolk.

It comes in a set of six and was made by a company with a history dating back into the late 1800s.

These pieces were often made of A-Grade silver.

While decorative and pretty, it also looks to be functional. Perhaps it could be tightened to grip something securely.

Does Sam Kekovich still do those meat commercials?

If you know what this slice of history is, please drop us a line at tassieliving@news.com.au

Next week we will print the names of those with the correct answer... and send out our next mystery item into the world.
