Among the great­est of English roses is the daz­zling yel­low, non-stop bloom­ing Gra­ham Thomas. Dead­head­ing helps keep blooms com­ing, but an oc­ca­sional sum­mer prun­ing with monthly feeds of fish emul­sion can pro­duce great flushes of bloom even into early win­ter. Bushes can still go in — but plant in the evening, with­out dis­turb­ing roots
