Bergenia cordifolia

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - GARDENING -

If you are looking for a great winterflowering plant, get a Bergenia cordifolia. This is one of the toughest of all perennials which can withstand to most savage frosts and still produce upright spikes of bright, rosy-pink flower clusters. Growing easily in full sun or part shade, it thrives in a wide range of soil types and requires little attention apart from summer watering.
