what IS IT?

Sure to put your head in a spin

CARL Jackson from Archive Antiques usually has something curious on hand when we come a knocking in search of a What Is It? mystery item.

This time, it’s a lovely little piece dating back to the 1920s.

The construction is wood and metal with a small rotating part that is equipped with numbers.

Is that a pivot point? Sure looks like one.

In checking out a description of a similar piece to this one, there was quite a lot of maths in the description of what it would have been used for. It’s an instrument, but not one for playing a tune.

If you know the answer please let us know at tassieliving@news.com.au

Next weekend we will print the names of those with the correct answer and unveil the clues to our next mystery object.
