What Is It?: This one’s a real touch of glass

This one’s a real touch of glass

Sunday Tasmanian - Tassie Living - - TASSIE LIVING -

READER Judith Christie suggested this week’s What Is It? item, a little glass piece that she has tucked away at home.

This item would have been useful in the mid-19th century or the early 20th century.

The glass it is made from is quite thick.

The piece is not big, like a vase; it could easily be held in the palm of one’s hand.

What it was used for, did not cost a huge sum of money.

Next week we will print the names of as many of the fastest readers to write in with the right answer as we can.

And we will pose our next question.
