What Is It?: This one’s a real touch of glass
This one’s a real touch of glass
READER Judith Christie suggested this week’s What Is It? item, a little glass piece that she has tucked away at home.
This item would have been useful in the mid-19th century or the early 20th century.
The glass it is made from is quite thick.
The piece is not big, like a vase; it could easily be held in the palm of one’s hand.
What it was used for, did not cost a huge sum of money.
