Hell­fire Bluff is one of the only dis­til­leries in Aus­tralia mak­ing vodka from scratch the orig­i­nal way. The vodka has an earthy taste, which comes from the dis­tillery us­ing its own farm-grown pota­toes to make the spirit in­stead of us­ing bought ethanol. The taste and con­sis­tency vary from sea­son to sea­son, depend­ing on the va­ri­ety of pota­toes avail­able and the sea­son’s yield.
