It is one of the most trusted tools of its trade, needed for solving an inevitable problem that comes with use.
Howeve, be warned amateurs: you may cause more harm than good if you try and use it unsupervised.
Older models could be fashioned from cork, felt, and/or thread spools, but are now made from more sturdy materials such as brass or titanium.
