Cafe Lola

Lola’s menu consists of whole, clean, good food and is inspired by paleo and gluten-free eating. The salads vary day to day but there is generally one component that ties each one together. For the Roasted Cauliflower and Leek Salad, for instance it’s Westhaven Goat Chevre. The dish also includes house-made dukkah, fresh herbs and red peppers. Honey Brown Cafe

Honey Brown is a hot spot for healthy vegetarian meals, which naturally makes it a prime place for superb summer salads. One of the most popular is the lentil and carrot salad, which contains roast carrot, Danish feta, lentils, mint, rocket and is topped with a lime and cumin dressing. Ditch the feta and it’s vegan friendly. At just $15 It is a simple, tasty meal with bite and zest. 4 Cascade Rd, South Hobart

One88 on Collins

The salads at One88 change daily and use fresh, local produce. One that’s a huge customer favourite is the Spiced Cauliflower with Fried Chickpeas. It contains half a cooked cauliflower, deep fried chickpeas, crispy spinach and currents. A spice mix including nigella seeds, turmeric, cayan pepper, paprika and sesame seeds is then tossed on top. Monsoon Thai Fusion

For something unique, try Monsoon Thai Fusion’s Rocky Road Chicken Salad. It’s packed with flavour and is served as a main ($20 takeaway or $24 dine-in). The dish includes crispy fried chicken, sliced onion, carrot, broccoli and a mix of herbs including coriander, Vietnamese mint and parsley and Monsoon’s own secret sauce. 46A Hampden Rd, Battery Point

Phat Fish

One of Salamanca’s newest eateries — Phat Fish currently features three summer salads on its menu. All salads are gluten-free and only $11.50 each. The options include Warm Chickpea and Rocket, Smoked Salmon Salad and Warm Asparagus.
