It’s a great time for trans­plant­ing ev­er­green shrubs, es­pe­cially camel­lias, rhodo­den­drons, aza­leas and pieris, most of which will still flower in late win­ter or spring. Also all com­pact-rooted plants such as small conifers. The soil is still warm so good root de­vel­op­ment will con­tinue be­fore win­ter.
