AB­SO­LUTELY. Those of you who have ever watched a friend or a loved one suf­fer would get it. Let peo­ple have the choice.

I HAVE been in that po­si­tion with my son and, no, I don’t agree with the law. With good med­i­cal care, pain re­lief and hos­pice/palliative care the suf­fer­ing is min­imised — but suf­fer­ing doesn’t be­long in a neat lit­tle box and the grief process af­ter is made more com­pli­cated with these laws.

YES. Watched both par­ents waste away from can­cer. It was heart­break­ing and they were in pain. When it’s my turn I want to make my own choice. None of the gov­ern­ment’s busi­ness.
