ADELAIDE 20.23 (143) FREMANTLE 6.7 (43)
Fyfe in an engrossing personal duel yet Freo’s Brownlow medallist collected 25 disposals and kicked a goal.
The Dockers, who host Collingwood and then travel to Brisbane before their bye, were crushed by Adelaide’s midfield – brothers Matt and Brad Crouch amassed 65 disposals between them and Sloane had 30 and booted two goals.
The Crows’ backline was stingy, with Jake Lever, Brodie Smith and Rory Laird outstanding, and ruckman Sam Jacobs made the most of Aaron Sandilands’ injury-enforced absence.
The competition pacesetters, who travel to Geelong then host St Kilda before a bye, broke the 100-point milestone midway through the third quarter to leave the Dockers with six wins and four losses.
Apart from Fyfe’s feats, the spark of Lachie Weller (30 disposals, two goals) and Connor Blakely’s 28 touches there was little to like for Fremantle.
