UK chef dips out on Tassie ministry
CELEBRITY chef Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food has decided against applying for funds under the Healthy Tasmania strategy.
The UK star’s Australian representative, The Good Foundation, told the Sunday Tasmanian last year it was keen to help address the state’s obesity problem by seeking a grant under the State Government scheme.
Applications for the program’s Community Innovation Grants closed on Friday.
The Good Foundation chief executive Felicia Mariani said the $25,000 cap on grants made a Ministry of Food kitchen unfeasible.
