ARTS and community groups are being encouraged to make use of Macquarie Point’s former cold store site.

“It will mean that the entire length of Evans St, from Red Square to Davey St, has life,” MPDC chief Mary Massina said.

The corporation hopes a mix of arts, cultural and tour- ism activities will take place on the site, which is eventually planned to become Macquarie Point’s Gateway Park.

Registrations of interest open tomorrow and close on October 23.
