AUS­TRALIANS strug­gling to hit the books are turn­ing to YouTube “Study with Me” videos for mo­ti­va­tion.

Mel­bourne YouTu­ber Rachel An­der­son, 27, has been mak­ing con­tent since 2011.

Her half-a-mil­lion fol­low­ers tune in to video af­ter video for study tips and ad­vice.

“It’s al­ways in­ter­est­ing to see what suc­cess­ful peo­ple do in their rou­tines,” she said.

“If your idols are say­ing study­ing and be­ing or­gan­ised is cool, it makes it cooler for you to do.”

“It’s just like go­ing to the li­brary or the cafe to study with your mate,” he said.

Aus­tralian YouTube video cre­ators have up­loaded al­most 200 clips and views of the videos have grown 50 per cent since the start of the year.

YouTube learn­ing man­ager Sanoop Luke said the trend started in Ja­pan in 2015 and had just taken off in Aus­tralia.
