Winter springs back from face paralysis

Sunday Tasmanian - - News -

TOO sick to celebrate his surprise Gold Logie nomination with fellow nominees last month, television presenter Andrew Winter returned to work on Friday.

Winter said he was 95 per cent recovered from his “shock” Bell’s Palsy diagnosis.

The host of Foxtel’s Selling Houses Australia said he was initially underwhelmed by his nomination.

“I was in shock,” he said. “Half of my face was on my shoe. To be frank, I wasn’t really in a state of mind to absorb the news.”

Two weeks previously he had been out dining when a change came over his face. When he got home his right eye was watering and his lip and eye had fallen about 1cm from their normal position.
