A TASMANIAN bodybuilding couple aren’t taking anything lightly as they gear up to strike a pose at next week’s national bodybuilding competition in Melbourne.

Sebastien Duay, 34, and girlfriend Chelsea Williams, 26, have dedicated the past six months to get their bodies in peak condition as they aim to be crowned the country’s best bodybuilders.

The couple will fly to Melbourne next week to compete alongside Australia’s best bodybuilders at the iCompete Natural Championships where they will be judged on muscular development, symmetry, and stage presence.

The pair, who dedicate their toned physiques to training coaches Stephanie and Ewan McKay of PlanetMax, said competing alongside one another will make next week’s event extra special.

“It’s really amazing … it’ll be incredible to compete … with Chelsea there,” Mr Duay said.

Ms Williams, who finished fifth at the ICN event last year, said she felt better prepared this time around.

“I know more about what to expect … and it feels a little less daunting,” she said.

The pair is hoping to do well enough at next weekend’s event to earn a place at the world titles to be held at the Gold Coast later this month.
