Fizzy makeover falls flat

A MA­JOR brand has down­sized its soft drinks, spark­ing shop­per com­plaints about pay­ing the same for less.

Sch­weppes lemon­ade, lemon­ade zero sugar, rasp­berry, rasp­berry zero sugar, lime, sar­sa­par­illa, and brown cream soda bot­tles have shrunk from 1.25 litres to 1.1 litres.

The switch to a “more con­tem­po­rary” de­sign has fallen flat with some con­sumers who have vented on so­cial me­dia, claim­ing they’ve been short-changed.

“First class rip off,” said one an­gry con­sumer on Face­book.
