AFTER spending a couple of days in Cradle Mountain recently, I am disappointed by Bob Brown’s opinion about the area.

I believe that after what I saw, the new visitor centre and a cable car set up to reach the centre would be the best thing for the area.

As I saw it, approximately 90 per cent of the tourists going into Dove Lake carpark never leave it. The best they do is the walk down the bitumen ramp to the water’s edge.

A decent building and a safe way of getting people to and from Dove Lake would enhance the tourist visit, and their footprint would be less than what it is today. Robin Costain South Arm
