In the slammer over missing beer rage
A MELBOURNE man is in custody for allegedly threatening his family after he became enraged because he couldn’t find his beer, a court has heard. The man, who can’t be named for legal reasons, appeared before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday after he was arrested at a home.
“He did not find the beer and went upstairs to ask his sister, nephew and mother,” Constable Matthew Clifford told the court.
“The accused became enraged and verbally abused his family.”
The man had arranged for a friend to deliver the beer at his mother’s home on Friday.
But his family had diverted the beer to another address out of concern about his alcohol consumption.
