Win is just the tonic for Tyndall
DARWIN- BASED j ockey Melanie Tyndall capped off an emotional week by booting home the winner in the final race at Alice Springs yesterday.
Tyndall is good friends with jockey Kate Brooks, who suffered a serious fall at last weekend’s Pioneer Park meeting.
Brooks was transported to Alice Springs hospital before being transferred to Royal Adelaide hospital in an induced coma for further treatment.
Brooks is on the road to recovery and so it is better times for Tyndall after getting home on the Mark Nyhan-trained four-year-old gelding Cash Leakage in the Lasseters Handicap (1600m).
Stratigraphy headed Cash Leakage ($6.10) in the home straight, before Cash Leakage fought back gamely to win.
