Museums told to raise hand for cash
APPLICATIONS for $285,000 worth of grants for regional museums are now open.
Tourism Minister Lauren Moss said the investment in museums would create jobs and keep communities vibrant.
“A total of $285,000 in funding is available to assist regional museums, keeping places and community art galleries to develop programs, displays, manage their collections, acquire relevant skills for the benefit and enjoyment of residents and visitors to the Northern Territory,” she said.
“The Regional Museums Grant Support Program has been available annually since 1997 and we recognise the importance of these centres in preserving and telling the stories of the Northern Territory’s culture for visitors to the Territory and future generations.”
