MARRIED AT FIRST BITE

How a 65cm barra led to a Top End wedding PLUS the chance to win your own dream NT wedding

-

ONE lucky bride and groom will be able to have the wedding of their dreams without spending a cent.

Inspired by the film Top End Wedding starring and written by Territory export Miranda Tapsell, one lucky couple will be able to plan the wedding they have always dreamt of right here in the NT. The wedding will take place on May 6 just after the national release of Top End Wedding on May 2.

The $55,000 prize includes NT-based travel, a wedding planner, make-up and hair for the big day, wedding transport for up to six, full wedding ceremony and reception for up to 22 people. The finer details will be taken care of as well with a wedding celebrant, photographer, catering, flowers, music and wedding cake booked for the couple.

Tourism NT deputy chief executive Andrew Hopper said the competition would further showcase the Territory’s vast stunning landscapes and diverse tourism offerings, some of which are featured in the film. Creative Two partner and wedding planner Belinda Nolan will be organising the wedding. She said she couldn’t wait to showcase the best of the NT from the outback to the beach. The competition sponsored by Tourism NT and Channel 9 will be launched on the Today Show tomorrow and closes March 19.
