Show­ers for those with wa­ter short­age

IN part­ner­ship with Sun­shine Coast Coun­cil, com­mu­nity fa­cil­i­ties across the Coast have opened their doors to res­i­dents in need. Sev­eral fa­cil­i­ties have made their show­ers avail­able for use by res­i­dents ex­pe­ri­enc­ing wa­ter short­ages, which fol­lows the wa­ter re­fill sta­tions made avail­able by coun­cil late last week. Act­ing Lo­cal Dis­as­ter Co­or­di­na­tor John Gal­lina said res­i­dents liv­ing us­ing wa­ter tanks are urged to take ad­van­tage of avail­able show­ers.

“Coun­cil has com­piled a list of avail­able hot show­ers to as­sist Sun­shine Coast res­i­dents ex­pe­ri­enc­ing wa­ter short­ages,” Mr Gal­lina said.

“All coun­cil pub­lic toi­let and pub­lic shower fa­cil­i­ties are also avail­able to the gen­eral pub­lic as re­quired.”
