Help develop art plan
MEMBERS of the Coast’s arts community are invited to be part of a conversation that will help to develop the region’s first Arts Plan.
Sunshine Coast Council, in partnership with CQ University, is rolling out a community engagement program designed to understand the needs of the region’s arts sector.
Arts Portfolio Councillor Rick Baberowski said it was important to speak with the people who would be at the heart of the new plan.
“In June last year council appointed the Sunshine Coast Arts Advisory Board to provide strategic advice and direction for council as it develops a future agenda for arts across the region,” Cr Baberowski said.
“To get the conversation started, the board developed a discussion paper that outlines potential visions, goals, strategies, opportunities and challenges.
“We are now inviting all artists and those involved in the arts and cultural sector on the Sunshine Coast to have their say by signing up to be part of the conversation via council’s website.”
