AREA 6 an­nual gen­eral meet­ing and elec­tion of of­fice bear­ers will be held on Tues­day, October 25, at Caloun­dra Power Boat Club. It will start at 11.30am and fin­ish about 12.30pm. Then we will all move down to the Quar­ter­deck and buy our lunch for a so­cial get-to­gether at ta­bles re­served for us. All res­i­dents of the area are in­vited to come and join in with any nom­i­na­tions, ques­tions, lo­cal news or com­ments. The main busi­ness at the AGM is the elec­tion of of­fice bear­ers for the com­ing year. All po­si­tions will be de­clared va­cant – area co-or­di­na­tor, deputy area co-or­di­na­tor, trea­surer, sec­re­tary, blog ad­min­is­tra­tor and three com­mit­tee mem­bers. CALOUN­DRA are a small group of good-hearted ladies who are able to spare a few hours each week to visit the wid­ows of mil­i­tary veter­ans.

The wid­ows live in lo­cal aged care fa­cil­i­ties and the pur­pose of the visit is to pro­vide com­pan­ion­ship through con­ver­sa­tion.
