TO THE dedicated stamp collector, their art is much more than simply just a hobby.

On November 18, the Caloundra Stamp Club is bringing enthusiasts from across Queensland together for the 39th annual Stamp Fair.

Caloundra Stamp Club publicity officer Peter Rule said it’s a big occasion and important fundraiser for their club. “We host all the stamp clubs from as far away as Nanango,” he said.

“The clubs bring their stamp books to display as it’s also about enhancing their collections.”

Mr Rule said the event is also open to the general public to enhance their private collections.

“We will also have five professional dealers there on the day with an array of things,” he said.

“They’ll sell everything from mint stamps, magnifying glasses and all the things stamp collectors use.

“And in the afternoon there's a special event where we’ll have an auction.”

The fair will be held at the Kawana Community Hall, Nanyima St, Buddina from 8.30am to 3.30pm on November 18.
