Living with lung cancer information sessions
CANCER Council Queensland and Lung Foundation Australia will hold an information session on the Sunshine Coast this month for locals living with lung cancer.
The free session, Lung Cancer and Lung Metastases, will provide an opportunity for people living with lung cancer, and their carers, to hear about therapy options, clinical trials and ways to manage the challenges of living with lung cancer or lung metastases.
The session will be held on Wednesday, November 15 from 9.30am-12.30pm at Bloomhill Cancer Care, 58 Ballinger Road, Buderim.
Cancer Council Queensland CEO Chris McMillan said it was the fourth year the two charities had provided the session during International Lung Cancer Awareness Month.
“Lung cancer is the fifth most common cancer diagnosed on the Sunshine Coast and through this information session, we hope to offer information and practical support for coping with the effects of lung cancer or lung metastases,” Ms McMillan said.
“Not only will the seminar feature health professionals with specialist expertise in issues related to lung cancer, but it will create an opportunity for locals to connect with others dealing with the same issues.”
Reservations are essential.
